How was 2019 successful? How did you celebrate New Year's Eve? What did you do? Explain. What NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS do you have for 2020?
Another year has passed, giving me the feeling of both regret and proud. 2019 have given me many life lessons and new valuable experience.
Looking back, I feel proud of myself because of my decision at the beginning of the year. I decided to study abroad and put me out of my comfort zone. To me, this decision was the right one because it has been giving me the opportunity to meet new people and learn many new things in a new land that I've never been to. But on the other hand, there are a few things I need to improve for "year of the mouse." Last year, I wasn't able to improve my GPA as expectation and I was still timid in talking to new people, I know that I could have done better but the aftermath showed that I didn't do my best.
For New Year's Eve and Christmas holiday, I was lucky enough to have the chance to celebrate them at my friend's house. We've had lots of fun doing many outdoor activities such as rock climbing, cooking and going to the "escape room" together. Through the time staying at his house, I got to learn how Christmas is celebrated in Western culture. When we don't hang out together, I enjoyed my time resting after a long tiring competing semester.
After all, with all the preparation prepared from 2019, I believe this will be the year full of joy yet I will grow a little bit more thanks to the learning of the mistakes I have learned from the past. But in the end, who knows my curiosity will lead me in the future.
